This week I’ve arranged for the best investor in the world to give you his take on where the investment markets are heading – and what his advice is for you.
Well, kinda, sorta.
Each year legendary investor Warren Buffett writes an annual letter to the shareholders of his US listed company Berkshire Hathaway*. They are required reading for serious investors (and after the year we’ve just had, that’s all of us).
Even better – you’ll actually understand what the hell he’s on about.
Take for instance his two simple rules that guide all of his investment decisions: ‘Rule number one: don’t lose money. Rule number two: don’t forget rule number one.’ It’s this straightforward style of writing that has led some to describing his annual letter as ‘like receiving sage advice from your wise old Uncle’ — if of course your Uncle is one of the richest men in the world, and has achieved an investment return of roughly 362,319 per cent since 1965.
On Sunday morning he released this year’s.
I strongly urge you to download it here. Oh, and don’t let the cheap-looking website deter you from seeking out each investment letter dating back to 1977 at www.berkshirehathaway.com — it’s all part of his charm.
Tread your own path!
